a reason to celebrate

this weekend was meaningful celebration in more ways than one. today we celebrated my sweet nephew’s first birthday. the giggles, the presents, the clapping, the singing, the cake-eating activity (he killed it!) — it was all amazing. but in the midst of the excitement and festivity, i couldn’t help but reflect how much he means to me and how special it is to have him in my life. he’s not just a nephew, he’s been a symbol of hope for me. he was conceived via fertility treatments and serves as a beautiful reminder that this long journey is and will be worth it in the end.

happy birthday my sweet little nephew — you have changed my life more than you know.
